Volume 18, Number 101, February/March 2015 Nature by John F. Cameron
A splendid start to a day Is to behold a sunrise Slowly the bright orb appears Radiant in golden colour.
We cannot feel the warmth just yet Black shadows are just starting Clouds are rimmed with orange-gold Clouds and sun move silently.
This scene sometimes lasts for hours. The sky is blessed by this pair. Shadows appear, warmth is felt. Another day has started.
At noon, the sun is by itself. The clouds continue drifting. Shadows reach their smallest size then they start to grow again.
Blazing sun arcs across the sky Giving life to many things Everything continues growth But we can’t control our sun.
Heavy rain is part of life Lightning, storms, fog, ice, and snow Each one plays a vital role Though we may not understand
Daylight fades, the sun goes down Drowned in a vivid sunset Reds, pinks, greys and streaks of blue Are the swan song of Nature
